Tinned Copper Coffee Pot (Serves Three People)
Coffee pot made of tinned copper with hand-carved design. When the tin wears out, the product must be re-tineed before it can be used for food or drink. Handwash is recommended.
Copper has been worked through millennia and has been transformed into large pans, bowls, plates and other utensils. It has gained unforeseen popularity in Ottoman times due to its ease of cleaning and similarity to silver when tinned.
A cezve is a pot designed specifically to make Turkish coffee. The body and handle are traditionally made of brass or copper, occasionally also silver or gold. Though, recently, cezveler are also made from stainless steel, aluminium, or ceramics. The long handle is particularly useful to avoid burning one's hands, and the brim is designed to serve the coffee.
