They were very "chewy" and could be enjoyably eaten by themselves. I note that the Tulumba simit is a fusion of 'patissiere' and 'street' styles. I think that is the reason I do not enjoy them nearly as much -- too much 'patissiere' and too little 'street', i.e., too "cake-like". Onun hazirlanisi da pisirilisi de cok farkli. Ve onun nasil yapildigini bilen usta bulmak da oyle o kadar kolay degil, goruldugu uzere :) Isitilinca bence gayet de guzel oluyor. Zira ayni pastane simidi iste. Turkiye'dekinin aynisi hem de. Mis gibi. Gel gor ki o "gevrek"in yerini hicbirsey tutmuyor, degil mi?
