"Watcha Playin'de Mozart'ın Türk Marşı'nın yepyeni ve eğlenceli yorumu, Hüsnü Şenlendirici ve İsmail Tunçbilek'in konuk olarak yer aldığı "Need" parçası yer alıyor.
Doublemoon tarafından 1998'de Laço Tayfa ile birlikte hazırladıkları ve Grammy'ye aday gösterilen 'In The BuzzBag' albümleri ile büyük bir çıkış yakalayan ve ülkemizde geniş kitleler tarafından sevilen Brooklyn Funk Essentials; reggae, funk ve hip hop gibi New York'un alternatif seslerini "Watcha Playin'" albümünde birleştiriyor.
1993'te önceleri bir stüdyo projesi olarak düşünülen Brooklyn Funk Essentials'ı, grubun şu anda müzik direktörlüğünü yapmakta olan bascı Lati Kronlund Arthur Baker ile birlikte kurdu. New York'un underground 'sound' türlerini birleştirerek ileriyi gören bir müzik yapan Brooklyn Funk Essentials, günümüzün en iyi şair, "rapper" ve şarkıcılarını bünyesinde barındırıyor. Grup Lati Kronlund (bas gitar, gitar, klavye ve turntable), Hanifah Walidah: (vokal), Papa Dee (vokal), Everton Sylvester (vokal), Yancy Drew Lambert (davul ve vokal), Iwan van Hetten (klavye, trompet, ve vokal), Desmond Foster (gitar ve vokal), Philippe Monrose (perküsyon)'dan oluşuyor.
"Watcha Playin'"de albümünün kayıtları New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm ve İstanbul'da gerçekleştirildi. Albümde yer alan konuklar arasında Hüsnü Şenlendirici (klarnet) ve İsmail.
